Applicants should meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • A 3.0 GPA in competency courses
  • An ACT score of 24
  • An SAT Reasoning score of 1180

  • Applicants should meet the following criteria:
  • A secondary school GPA of 3.0
  • 3 years of high school coursework
  • Ace English proficiency tests like TOEFL, PTE, IELTS
  • Complete ASU’s academic preparation and Global Launch English courses

Arizona State University Admissions Criteria- International Graduate Students

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 (85%)
  • Ace a GRE or other graduate school entrance exam. (GRE General Test at-home exam scores aren’t accepted).

 Arizona State University Admissions- Key Steps

  • Complete the ASU admissions application– You can apply online with ASU’s Application for Admission or the Common Application. Do not submit double applications, or else both can be canceled.
  • Self-report your grades or request a transcript– To speed up the application process, you can choose not to self-report and request a transcript from your high school. You can also self-report your grades to reduce the time needed for the admissions results.
  •  Submit the application fee– International students need to submit a non-refundable application fee of $85 for Arizona State University. You can pay through credit cards when you submit your application or while logging in to My ASU. You can also mail a check to ASU Admission Services.
  • Submit all transcripts and certificates– Request your school/ college to send all official transcript(s) and examination results directly to ASU Admission Services. Provide authorized English translations of all documents not issued in English.
  •  Send Your ACT or SAT Scores: You can submit your ACT or SAT scores for ASU course placement or as supplemental information. Request ACT or College Board to send your scores to ASU while registering for the test.
  • Proof of English language proficiency: You can get your TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or other English proficiency scores sent directly to ASU. Otherwise, you can provide proof of completion from Global Launch.
  •  Check application status: Once you finish these steps, ASU will review your application. Use your ASURITE UserID to sign in to My ASU to check your ASU application status and review your application. ASU admissions team sends your ASURITE UserID to you after you apply to ASU.
  •  Submit your visa application– The ASU admissions process requires all international students applying for ASU to apply for an I-20 to apply for an F-1 or J-1 student visa.
